Elton John has continued to release solo recordings in the 21st century. He has also contributed sound tracks to the animated movies The Road to El Dorado, Gnomeo & Juliet, and the most famous, The lion King. Elton John in 1994 was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Also in 1998 he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II.
